Carllyn Walker and Kandy Walker Haralson are bringing a taste of Hollywood glam to the streets of Laredo. PRIMPED, the city’s premiere style bar, brings women the chance to enjoy quality styling, makeup and products as an everyday treat – not just something that’s reserved for special occasions. Taking the super-hot concept of the blow dry bar one step further, Carllyn and Kandy added makeup, tanning and retail sales to the mix. “We hired the most talented stylists, trained by celebrity stylists, so every woman can come by and look flawless in under an hour,” Kandy says.

“We are all about customer service and a fantastic look!” Featuring three makeup stations, 10 dedicated blow dry stations, a spray tanning room and complete waxing and mini-facial services, PRIMPED provides everything that women need to feel completely pampered. From the moment they are welcomed by the crystal chandelier in the style bar’s entrance, customers know that they are in for a relaxing and luxurious experience. PRIMPED carries and uses only the highest quality products and accessories. “We want women look fantastic on their special day,” Carllyn adds.

“PRIMPED is designed for the active lady who wants to look her best, whether it’s for a night on the town for a day at the club!” Kandy and Carllyn both were trained in Hollywood by master makeup artist Margaret Kimura at the Margaret Kimura Beauty Academy. With training in lighting, beauty, print fashion, editorial and airbrush makeup, as well as in professional hair styling and finishing, they know how to make every customer look and feel their best. launched a glam Hollywood-inspired nail experience at her delightfully posh salon.

Nail art is a language that everyone speaks—from VIP mom-in-chiefs to high-profile professionals and, yes, even those guys-next-door—and Carllyn is the master interpreter of the best fingers and toes in town. Not only does Candy Nail Bar deliver premier polishings from the most talented nail artists in their craft, every mani or pedi comes with a side of wine, munchies, free WiFi, and more. Q. What is Primped’s cancelation policy?

A. Your appointments are very important to us; it is reserved especially for you. We understand that sometimes scheduled adjustments are necessary; therefore, we respectfully request at least 24 hours notice for cancellations.

Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive services. Our appointments are confirmed 24 hours in advance because we know how easy it is to forget an appointment you booked months ago. Since the services are reserved for you personally, a cancellation fee may apply.

No Shows and appointments not canceled within 24 hours will be charged 50% of the services booked.

The cancellation policy allows us the time to inform our standby guests of any availability, as well as keeping our schedule filled, thus better serving everyone. Primped policies are presented and provided in the best quality and tradition of excellent servicing for our established and future clientele. Q. How do I book an appointment at Primped or Candy?

A. You can click HERE or you can call us during regular business hours. If you have a technician preference, please mention this to the desk staff when you call.

Q. How do you handle late arrivals?

A. Late to your appointment? We give you a 15 minute grace period to arrive for your appointment. Anything later will require rescheduling or a late-cancellation fee – 50% of service(s) booked. Clients who show up within the grace period will have to accept an abbreviated service to keep the rest of the day on schedule. This policy keeps the day running smoothly and ensures everyone is respectful of other clients and the staff’s time.

Q. Can I use my cell phone at Primped and Candy?

A. We know that cell phones are a necessity to many. We ask that you limit cell phone conversation while having services performed for your relaxation and the experience of other guests.

Q. Can I smoke at Primped and Candy?

A. No. We are a no-smoking facility. We ask that guests refrain from smoking until they are well outside the facility.

Q. Do Primped and Candy sell gift certificates?

A. Yes. Gift certificates can be purchased in denomination of $25 or more. They can also be re-loaded and they never expire.

Q. What is your privacy policy?

A. Rest assured your personal information will not be shared with anyone. Certain information is required to assure the services you receive are appropriate for you. At times, we may alert you to promotions or upcoming events. If you do not wish to receive offers and information from Primped, simply let us know.

Q. Do you accept walk-ins?

A. Walk-ins are always welcome! If our technicians are serving other guests, we will do our best to work you in as quickly as possible.

Q. What is your return policy?

A. We know that sometimes it is necessary to return retail items. In order to avoid the return, we ask that you try on all apparel before leaving the facility. If a return is needed, it must be done within ten days of the purchase and items returned must be in their original packaging and condition. Product returned with no receipt will be reimbursed with a gift card for the amount of the purchase.

Q. What do I do if I am unsatisfied with a service?

A. All service are non-refundable. We take pride in, stand by and guarantee our work at Primped the Style Bar. If you are unsatisfied please notify us immediately and communicate with your service provider and together come up with a solution. Our Primped Management team is also happy to help provide other alternatives. Client re-dos, if approved, will only be honored if Primped is contacted within 24 hours of the original service.
